Self-Regulation Using Play Therapy
Self-regulation is one of the most important skills anyone can have. Regulating emotions, thoughts and the physical body are all key components to finding success in our world today. We are all faced with a barrage of information, stimulation, and a more sedentary lifestyle, resulting in a dysregulated body and mind. In this workshop, we will look at the impact trauma, attention deficit, autism, and living in a chaotic world has on our regulatory system. We will explore the healing impact play can have on these challenges. Participants will have an opportunity to learn new skills and techniques to use for themselves and to pass on to their clients. Leaving this workshop, participants will have a deeper understanding of self-regulation, and how play can impact their own skills and the skills of their clients.
